Home Planet Fund

  • Overview

    Home Planet Fund, a new organization founded in 2022 by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, launched with a $20 million donation to fight the climate crisis by supporting Indigenous Peoples and local communities through nature-based solutions. I have served as the Senior Project Manager as we have successfully launched their website to effectively communicate this mission. I have also managed brand expansion efforts, including collateral digital asset development and ongoing organic and paid social.media marketing, email marketing, and content development strategies.

  • Challenges

    This project involved managing multiple stakeholders across four different organizations, each with their own priorities and expectations. We had to be extremely agile and flexible in our approach to align with the new organization’s resources, strategy, and timing. Collaboration was key, as I worked closely with our designers and developers to implement pixel-perfect design changes while ensuring seamless integration with external partners, despite differing practices and tight deadlines.

  • Outcome

    The launch of Home Planet Fund was a coordinated effort across the website, social media, email, and external partners and ultimately it was a smashing suchess- launching on time and under budget on Earth Day 2024. This project marked the beginning of a strong, trust-based partnership. I’m privileged to work with a client who is deeply passionate and thoughtful in every decision, and I’m honored they continue to trust me as their partner in their ongoing journey.

Set up for success.

As the project manager, my focus was to keep timeline, budget, and scope on track while setting up my client for success for their launch as an organization to the wider public. I led development and QA of the website, orchestrated the launch and marketing campaigns, and have since managed ongoing organic and paid social strategies. Additionally, I have continued to earn the trust of and foster an ongoing relationship with the Home Planet Fund team by providing retainer support for design updates and site maintenance, ensuring the organization’s digital presence aligned with its mission and values.
